Our Lady of Guadalupe Academy is a small, private high school located in Medford, Oregon. If you are interested in enrolling, please contact the headmaster, Mr. Paul Hammer, at 541-846-6264.
The Academy is a member of the National Association of Private, Catholic and Independent Schools (NAPCIS), and has been accepted as a Candidate for Accreditation by that organization.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Academy exists not only to educate the student, but to form him or her, both in character and spiritually. In other words, we aim to develop the whole person. This includes not only teaching the students facts and principles, but providing them with an atmosphere in which they can practice what they are learning.
Our academic program is superb, but above all else Our Lady of Guadalupe Academy is a school of virtue. Our students learn self-discipline, patience, courage, kindness, diligence, generosity, reverence, and so forth. In short, they learn how to live.
Our curriculum is a modern version of the Trivium and the Quadrivium systems, with the addition of a comprehensive review of the Catholic Faith which will be most helpful to the young person at this stage in life. By means of this curriculum, we intend to assist our students to pass through this transitional growth period in their life and to emerge well prepared to meet the challenges of independent adult life so as to gain their eternal destiny.
The core curriculum is based on the classics of Western Civilization, which are studied themselves rather than in textbook summaries. Emphasis is given to the relationship between and among various disciplines, so that the student attains an integrated view of our civilization.
